The Bible is the Word of God. It is fully trustworthy in all it teaches and affirms.
In one eternal God who exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and that our Lord Jesus Christ was born of a virgin and without sin. He is truly God and truly man.
Everyone is born with a broken, sinful nature and cannot be saved except through faith in Christ. We confess His atoning death and resurrection. We believe Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
In committing to the truth of God's Word as it has been embraced and proclaimed by the Christian Church for generations, regardless of its popularity or prevailing cultural trends.
Grace, healing, love, and service are essential parts to any viable witness of Christ.
In taking a humble, compassionate posture towards the lost and unbelieving, rather than a mean-spirited or judgmental attitude, even as we seek to embrace the Christian message with intensity and passion. Mark 10:42-45, I Peter 3:15
Jesus has given the church ordinances of water baptism, and the Lord's Supper (communion) for the believers' identification with His life, death, and resurrection until His return. Acts 2:38, I Corinthians 11:23-26, I Thessalonians 4:16-17
Our church has a history of living it out.
From our founding pastor, Bishop Albert Brisbane, who shuttled passengers on Muni by day, and shuttled souls to Jesus by night for 30 years.
To our current pastor, Terry Brisbane, a native son of the Sunset District, who followed his grandfather’s footsteps of faith in '88.
But it’s not just our leaders who live it out—it’s the men, women, and children here who have decided to follow Jesus.
Through decisions, big and small, they live out their faith.
When they step out of their spiritual comfort zones.
When they take holy risks.
When they act as bridges to Christ in their relationships.
And while none of us do it perfectly, we do it persistently, longing to hear these six words from our King.
“Well done, good and faithful servant!”
